Winston-Salem Support Center
Just walking into Amarr’s Support Center tells you you’re somewhere different. The building is decorated in bold, primary colors and has six working garage doors throughout the office. From the beanbags and cuckoo clocks to the original 1930 Ford Model-A frame suspended from the ceiling – we offer plenty of visual stimulation to keep our team members productive in meetings. The office is designed so that meetings are conducted in open areas to promote and encourage approachability and openness at all levels. Over 70 team members are employed at the Winston-Salem Support Center, providing support to our Field and Manufacturing facilities throughout the Company. Local opportunities range in areas of responsibility such as Payroll, Accounting, Engineering, Marketing, Information Technology, Amarr University (Training and Development) and People (Human Resources). Amarr Garage Door Centers are “mini-plants” stocked with hundreds of sizes and styles of residential and commercial garage doors. Each Door Center provides on-site alterations and can customize doors to fit most any opening—usually within 24 to 48 hours. General duties at a door center can include loading and unloading trucks, assisting customers, building track, putting glass in door sections, and cutting sections to various sizes. Other aspects of the Door Center include maintaining sales, assisting in administrative functions, developing inventory controls, preparing budgets, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, and keeping warehouse inventory. In 2007 Amarr opened a second manufacturing facility in Mocksville, North Carolina at 80,000 square feet to assist in the production of Amarr's residential steel product.
